How to choose tapware
Choose the finish first, then keep it consistent across the room so the basin mixer, shower, spout and accessories match. If you are mixing brands, compare finishes side by side, as "brushed nickel" or "gunmetal" can vary between makers. Check the mounting too: a basin mixer sits on the vanity top, while a wall mixer and spout must be plumbed in before the walls are tiled.

Which tapware finish is easiest to keep clean?
Brushed finishes such as brushed nickel tend to hide water spots and fingerprints better than polished chrome or matte black.
Can I mix tapware brands in one bathroom?
You can, but finishes with the same name can look different between brands. Compare them side by side before you buy.
